Welcome to my therapy practice.

People come to therapy from all walks of life and for a wide range of personal reasons. With over 15 years of experience in mental health and well-being, I specialise in helping clients overcome depression, stress and anxiety, including family issues and narcissistic abuse. As your therapist, I work to facilitate a non-judgmental space to help you gain clarity from which deeper understanding and autonomy can be achieved.

As perceptions and experiences are enhanced, the general coping of daily life can improve, together with feelings of low self-esteem and confidence. I offer client-led online sessions, with a complimentary 30-minute initial consultation.

My practice is largely influenced by the principles and philosophies of the person-centred approach. Originally described as non-directive, this therapy moved away from the idea that the therapist was the expert and towards a theory that trusted the innate tendency (known as the actualising tendency) of human beings to develop positively and in functional ways that are constructive in their own circumstances.

Let's embark on this journey towards mental well-being and self-discovery.

As a humanistic therapist my practice is largely influenced by the principles and philosophies of the person-centred approach. This means that you are central to the direction and pace of the therapeutic process and moves away from the notion of the therapist being the sole expert on your personal experiences.

I invite the emotional, psychological, physical and spiritual aspects - essential all of you into the room. I work to understand you within the context of your life, rather than focusing narrowly on symptom alleviation and pathologising.

I offered short-term one-to-one Solution-Focused therapy to students. As sessions were time-limited it encouraged a focus on setting personal and academic goals to work through over the course of therapy.

Offered long and short-term therapy to adults and young people at a low-cost afford rate to offer a service accessible to all. Inititial starting out as a counselling service for women experiencing domestic abuse the charity expanded to offer therapy to men.
As a committee member I was involved in the expansion of the organisation to reach out to the wider community.

As the first of its kind, our aim was to increase the awareness and understanding of the person-centred approach and its potential benefits for human relationships in healthcare, education and other community organisations.

Our first workshop, 'The Impact of Practitioner Empathy on Healthcare Outcomes', invited medical staff to explore evidence and recent research which suggested how patient healthcare outcomes may be positively impacted by an empathic healthcare professional.
